Townhome
This 1926 townhome was transformed from the 1980s (at best) style to a timeless design with a nod to Art Moderne. I stained the hardwood floors in a deep green and used clean, long lines in the furnishings, draperies, coffered ceiling, fireplace mantel, and other décor. On the bedroom level, two rooms and a 1940s sleeping porch were transformed to a perfect primary suite: bedroom, luxurious bathroom with heated slate floors, and a dressing room with customized closets and storage; the laundry was moved from the basement to a stacked unit in a leftover closet. Nearly every room in the house was made larger by replacing original, bulky radiators with low, tight-to-the-wall units.
